Well Filled vs Well Formed Mind

In this era of Internet, where any information needed is couple of clicks away, we should work towards developing a well formed mind that is creative and think out of the box. Industrial age education which still is dominant in our society, focuses on filling the mind with myriad of information and set of rules that were needed to create soldiers, assembly line workers etc.
We should stop quizzing our children for random facts and figures and instead guide them to develop skills and consciousness of creative mind. A mind that is original, pure, uncluttered and unbiased. We should teach them how to find information, validate them, question them and derive meaningful outcomes.

Resistance will bury you

Hitler wanted to be an artist. At eighteen he took his inheritance of 700 kronen and moved to Vienna to live and study. He applied to the Academy of Fine Arts and later to the school of architecture . Have you ever seen one of his paintings? I don’t think so. Resistance beat him. Call it overstatement, but as per Steven Pressfield: it was easier for Hitler to start World War II than it was for him to face a blank square of canvas.

Job Interview

“What does it take to be successful here?” This is a great question to ask in any job interview. It engages the interviewer and gets you a detailed response. The magic of this question is that if someone gives you guidance, they will watch to see if you follow their advice and have a peronal stake in seeing you succeed.

Role of Economic Engine

Economic engines should serve the humanity, not vice versa. Many world leaders are ignoring this key principle and making policies that are making humanity suffer, citing economic reasons.
These leaders have forgotten the origin of the economic engine and understanding of why we created these engines in the first place. As an individual, it is time to pause and ponder about our current life position. We need to understand that role of money is to enhance our well-being and not the other way around.

“No”-oriented Question

We are often faced with situations where the other party is not responding, either in business and personal settings. Examples could include from hearing back for next steps after an interview or a business prospect ignoring your emails.
This gets annoying quickly, as we start questioning our communication ability and become anxious. One quick trick I have found after reading the book “Never Split the Difference” is to send a short email as below:
“Have you given up on this project?”
This “No”-oriented question that suggests that you are ready to walk away, works wonders.
You can make minor changes to the email or message to accommodate different setting.

Population in 2100

https://www.visualcapitalist.com/world-population-2100-country/
Interesting information, visualized in above article shows China’s population shrinking almost 50% by 2100 and also for many other countries.
This recent research from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), published in The Lancet, suggests that the population on this planet may actually start to shrink well before the year 2100.
🤞🏼 Some good news for the planet earth.. 🤞🏼
